For five of the following compounds show the structure of the compounds and write a paragraph about each including the source of the compound and its uses.  Also determine the functional groups present in the compound.  DO NOT include the synonyms or IUPAC names of the common name that is provided, molecular formula or physical property data.  COMPARE IN A FINAL PARAGRAPH the functional groups of the five compounds with what uses the compounds have.  The body of your paper should be at least three pages, double spaced, font size 12 including the structures.  Include a title page with your name and study group and include a reference page.  On your reference page, under the name of each compound that you chose and record the reference information for that compound.  You should use the library and the internet (for example, www.chemfinder.com or use a search engine).  A good book to look at in the library is the Merck Index.
